About the Artwork

'Look White I Found!' is part of a series of three wall installations created by artist Dan Snyder for Stanley Elementary. He filled the wall with colorful and joyful painted figures and images. He based some of the images on drawings created by students at Stanley. In this piece, leaping figures, stars, and animals appear to jump out of an open book.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tacoma Public Schools.

About the Artist

Dan Snyder is a Berkeley, California-based artist. Born in Philadelphia, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1970. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California at Davis in 1972. He has served as an instructor at Pennsylvania State University, and the University of California at Santa Cruz.
