About the Artwork
Artist Kay Slusarenko sandblasted Prairie Falcon into the brick façade at Prairie High School. She designed the stylized bird motif to symbolize the Prairie Falcon, a bird of prey found in arid environments. The subtle image changes throughout the day based on how sunlight and shadows fall.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Battle Ground Public Schools.
