About the Artwork

Artist J. Elizabeth Santone created the figurative watercolor ‘Truck Farm’ based on the Saturday farmer’s market in Hillsboro, Oregon. She notes, “It is a casual affair without formal booths; people just pull up next to the curb and sell what they’ve got, including a lady who sells salsa kits from the trunk of her car." The composition is filled with many figures and hidden details.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tacoma Public Schools.
