About the Artwork

Late artist Jerry Scheideman created this enamel composition. To compose the abstract imagery, he layered powdered glass into colorful patterns. He then fired the glass, fusing it to a metal sheet at high heat.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Kennewick School District.

About the Artist

Artist and sculptor Jerry Scheideman (1932-2003) created his compositions by painting glass-like enamel on steel panels.
Scheideman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Idaho. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from California College of the Arts and Crafts in 1959.
