Location: Ballard High School, Seattle
About the Artwork
Artist John Moilanen composed the abstracted landscape painting Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound to draw the viewer's eye through paths of light and color. Representing logging roads and clear cut areas of the mountains, these divisional lines reflect the dynamic and rhythmic relationships found in nature.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Seattle Public Schools.
