About the Artwork

Finally Here is a hand-dyed and painted quilt by artist Jeannette Meyer. It was created at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Maine, where Meyer spent two weeks as a teaching assistant. The geometric composition of the quilt is inspired by the natural landscape surrounding the craft school. Meyer notes "Haystack is built on a granite cliff overlooking a bay; the fiber studio is perched on one section of this evergreen-covered hillside."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State Arts Commission.
