About the Artwork

Artist team Lilli Ann Killen Rosenberg and Marvin Rosenberg created the mosaic sculpture Turtle-Pond: Bench #1. It serves as seating and presents a whimsical nature scene. The design features a central turtle figure set atop a pond with images of fish, flowers, leaves, and butterflies. The bench and turtle portion of the sculpture were created in the artists' studio. Students from North Whidbey Middle School helped them complete the pond portion of the mosaic on location at their school.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Oak Harbor School District.
