About the Artwork

Artist Chuck Greening created Regal Maze as a walking labyrinth for Regal Elementary School. Students and faculty can walk the winding path. The path changes directions as it curves toward the center. Many different cultures and religions use this kind of walking path for meditation and reflection.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Spokane Public Schools.

About the Artist

Charles "Chuck" Greening is a Seattle-based artist. He creates sculptures for public places that interact with the environment and natural elements. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1973.
