About the Artwork
'Pond at dusk' is part of artist Catherine Brigden's body of paintings of twilight. She notes, "This work is meant to imply a particular time and place. Time being between light and dark. Place being a secret place away from human evidence. Pond at Dusk is an expression of that last bit of light in the sky that only water and long grass will reflect; that last bit of light before nothing can be seen."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Ocosta School District.
