About the Artwork

Artist J. Elizabeth Santone created the figurative watercolor ‘Fast Food’ to connect the images associated with eating at a drive-thru restaurant. The composition is populated with many figures and hidden details. She notes, “Food, like everything else about us, borrows from all the cultures that make us who we are.”

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Sultan School District.

Portland, Oregon-based artist J. Elizabeth Santone creates figurative paintings and drawings. She studied at the University of Oregon in Eugene, The Oregon Art Institute and the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts in Portland.
