River in Shadow by Ron McGaughey captures the form, color, and light of the Pacific Northwest landscape in an impressionistic and gestural style. The artist has spent much of his life in North Central Washington, and his work reflects a deep connection to the landscape.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tonasket School District.
