About the Artwork

Old Friends is a quilt by textile artist Sally Sellers. The composition features intricately layered images of hands cut from a colorful array of metallic fabrics. Sellers notes that the overlapping hands imply touching "and the way we are changed when we connect with another person. We all leave our imprint on each other, no matter how subtle."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Vancouver Public Schools.
