About the Artwork
Artist Louise Williams created Rays of Innocence and Truth as part of her series "Roads to The Interior", composed using printed imagery of children based on newspaper photographs. The artist noted that this piece "looks gratefully at the fact of our ability to reach one another. In this image I seek to express and amplify experiences of unity."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Mukilteo School District.

Northwest artist Louise Williams (1947-2004) created artworks informed by everyday life, by travel, and by her experiences as a woman and mother.
Williams received a Bachelor of Arts from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, and a Master of Fine Arts in drawing and painting from Central Washington University in Ellensburg.
