American (born 1949)

Location: George T. Daniel Elementary School, Kent

About the Artwork

Artist Walter White created Caged (vessel) as an exploration of restriction, surface tension, and control. It was created through a process in which a glass bubble is blown into a copper cage, which expands and creates a form unique to the physical interaction of the materials.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Kent School District.
