About the Artwork
Artist Ed Kamuda painted Spring '93 using a palette knife. His home in La Conner, Northwestern Washington inspired the composition. He notes, "I am surrounded by mountains and light, subjects for a lifetime."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools.
About the Artist
Ed Kamuda (1943-2020) created abstract paintings inspired by the landscape of the Skagit Valley and the Pacific Northwest. Born in New York City, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy. He moved to Seattle in 1967, where he lived for ten years. He settled in La Conner, Northwestern Washington, where he lived and worked for over forty years.
