About the Artwork
Arch and Windows is a welded steel sculpture created by artist Stephen Dale Edwards. It is part of his body of steel sculptures cut from recycled steel scraps. He notes, "I take these forms, cut arrange, weld, and bend them to make a sculpture responding to entirely new forms which appears to my sense of danger. Doing what I don't know how to do keeps the art alive for me."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tacoma Public Schools.
