About the Artwork
Artist Jo Fyfe created the painting Road Rabbits as part of a series called “Jumping the Fence.” The work of an artist friend, who illustrated farm animals using a traditional watercolor technique, inspired the paintings in the series. Interested in exploring a new subject while staying true to her own painting style, Fyfe remarked, “Do you know how difficult ‘bunnies’ are to paint without being cute?”
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Community Colleges of Spokane.
