About the Artwork
Artist Gloria Crouse created the stylized wall-rug East/West by developing variations in traditional rug-hooking techniques. Using a contemporary tufting tool, Crouse was able to combine a variety of materials to explore the interaction of textures and asymmetrical forms.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Kent School District.
