Forever, The Floating Home is a tapestry by artist Dana Boussard. It is made by layering painted and appliqued fabric. Her composition explores our relationship with the natural world. She notes "all of my works are gentle reminders that we need to take care of what we cherish most in our lives."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Yelm Community Schools.

About the Artist

Montana-based artist Dana Boussard creates narrative-driven paintings, drawings, fiber works, and glass installations. Her works explore concepts of home, memory and spirituality. She received the Montana Governor's Arts Award in 1987. Boussard is a non-Native artist.
