About the Artwork
Triptych is a glass wall sculpture by artist Gerry Newcomb containing a mirror-coated layer, activated by artificial light, which shifts between gold and silver tones depending on perspective. Part of a body of work that explores architecture and environment, this piece evokes the feeling of flowing water or a gust of wind.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with South Seattle College.
