The Fault Line, 2017

Auburn Isaak
American (born 1988)

Location: Peninsula College, Port Angeles

About the Artwork

The Fault Line is part of artist Auburn Isaak's body of abstracted landscape paintings. She notes, "I draw my color palette from nature in its most elusive form; not as defined realism in its physical form, but as I interpret and depict it in my mind. This allows me to bridge abstract with the landscape that surrounds me." Curator Kathleen Garrett selected this artwork as part of a collection of artworks for Peninsula College in Port Angeles. The artworks installed in the Allied Health Building emphasize bright colors and unusual materials. This building is used for Nursing and Early Childhood Education programs.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Peninsula College.
