Artist Barbara Grygutis used fourteen signs and symbols, chosen for their universality and ability to transcend language, on ninety glass blocks.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Olympic College.

About the Artist

Tucson, Arizona-based artist Barbara Grygutis creates sculptural environments in public spaces. She uses site-specific themes in her work to engage the community. Her work reveals the relationship between nature and humanity.
Grygutis received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
