About the Artwork
Spokane-raised artist Jim Hodges created this stainless steel sculpture to explore new perceptions. The varied surfaces, from mirrored to matte, alter the surrounding landscape through playful, reflective illusion. This work is dedicated to Hodges' mother, Ramona, who died shortly before this work was made.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State University.
About the Artist
Artist Jim Hodges creates detailed conceptual installations using a variety of media. Born in Spokane, Eastern Washington, he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Fort Wright College in Spokane and his Master of Fine Arts degree from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
