Dewey Decimal's Delegation, 2008

Otto Youngers
American (born 1964)

Location: Ridgeview Elementary, Spokane

About the Artwork

In Otto Youngers' Dewey Decimal's Delegation art installation, pop-up books are portals to other worlds. Characters in that imagined world – created from a variety of reclaimed wood – fill the entryway of Riverview Elementary in Spokane, in Eastern Washington. The artwork symbolizes the possibilities of the imagination when reading and learning.
