About the Artwork
Cynthia Krieble emphasizes color, light, and texture in this two-part painting of Home of the Coyotes. It is inspired by the coyote and by the sagebrush -- a plant native to the area and a flourishing part of agriculture in Kittitas County in Central Washington.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Kittitas School District.
About the Artist
Ellensburg, Central Washington-based artist Cynthia Krieble's impressionistic landscape paintings explore color and sensuality. They are characterized by rhythmic, gestural paint strokes.Krieble is Professor Emeritus at Central Washington University, where she taught painting and drawing for over twenty years.
