Mike DeVoe's two carved columns show the movement of water, seals, and sturgeon fish evoking a marine dance to remind us of the Pacific Northwest's abundant water and its beauty.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Grays Harbor College.

About the Artist

Mike Devoe creates figurative sculptures. He lives and works on Vashon Island in South Puget Sound, Western Washington. Devoe earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1973.
