Artist Kelly McLain created suspended blown glass sculptures to represent the ideas of intellectual exchange and social interaction. The artwork is located in a foyer that connects the Business and Social Sciences departments at Spokane Falls Community College.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Community Colleges of Spokane.

About the Artist

Artist Kelly McLain (1958-2020) created glass sculptures and large-scale installations. She taught at Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Northwestern Washington. McLain lived and worked in Seattle for many years but moved to Michigan towards the end of her life.
