Location: Washington State University - Vancouver, Vancouver
About the Artwork
Artist Tom Anderson created Serenghetti Gold by layering different chemicals and enamels onto copper and aluminum sheets. Exploring the interaction of texture, color, and form, Anderson notes that he is inspired by "the willingness to be spontaneous, and the compulsion to make something that expresses my own life's experience as well as reflect to the viewer the dynamics and emotion of their own spirit."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State University.
