About the Artwork
Free Fall are a group of translucent textile banners created by artist Louise Kodis. Layering colorful metallic fabrics, each banner captures a row of appliqued leaves as if they were falling from a tree. She notes that her garden is a source of inspiration. She draws on the colors and texture of plants, insects, clouds and changing seasons.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Olympic College.
