About the Artwork
Water Tables are two video installations created by artist Linda Beaumont. Fabricated from layered resin and Plexiglas, these sculptures project light and video as if from underwater. The concept was inspired by the Riverine Ecosystem Restoration project near the UW Bothell campus. Similar to how an ecosystem can evolve over time, the installation uses technology to illustrate how screens have transformed the way we read and think.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with University of Washington.
