About the Artwork

This digital sound work is a three minute musical collage of bird song, bee buzz, frog croak, geese calling, and owl hoots. These sounds are activated by two overhead sensors on the library's skybridge. The artist's intention is to hint at the natural world outside of the skybridge and library, and to gently pull people out of their world of work for a moment.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with University of Washington.
