About the Artwork
Artist Harlow Morgan created The Story Teller by combining monotype printmaking with painting. Describing the process in which she imagines and creates her subjects, Morgan notes, "I bring an eclectic cultural palette filled with childhood travels, unusual impressions, and memories. To this I add novels I have read, frames of well-loved films- all of these to help flesh out the stories my figure tells."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Stanwood-Camano School District.
