About the Artwork

Tree Houses is part of artist Sally Seller's quilt series called "A House Divided," which feature houses organized into quadrants of a geometric grid. She began using house imagery in her quilts after her young daughter was moved from home to a nursing facility due to serious illness. The house symbol explores and challenges our concept of home and our instinct to nurture and protect.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Edmonds School District.
