About the Artwork
Crossing by Ron McGaughey shows a railroad bridge in Eastern Washington crossing the Columbia River. The artist notes, “Bridges interest me because of their connectivity. They are an exciting metaphor of joining what is separate.” This piece was created during a painting fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center.
