Superstrung, 1998

Mark Meyer
American (born 1947)

Location: Maple View Middle School, Covington

About the Artwork

Artist Mark Meyer's painting Superstrung derives its concept from the "Superstring" theory, in which tiny particles of energy interact to bring about the observable universe. Inspired to attempt an abstract representation of this theoretical idea, Meyer populated his composition with minute and complex details, colorful forms, and imaginative symbols.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tahoma School District.
