About the Artwork

Late artist Louise Williams created 'Brother and Sister' to portray the connections we share. Of her work focused on images of children Williams notes, "perhaps, as many believe, our continued existence depends on how we learn to be with one another. We can learn from the world's children of compassion. They can learn from us tolerance, and perhaps love of one another."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State Arts Commission.
