American (born 1950)

Location: Washington State Arts Commission, Olympia

About the Artwork

The interwoven composition of George Radebaugh's Lovers sculpture suggests the braided structure and never-ending loops of a lover’s knot. It was created using CDs (compact discs). The color and light of the shimmering CDs change with the viewer's perspective and suggest movement. This artwork is part of his body of CD sculptures showing “that beautiful work can be made with everyday materials.”

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State Arts Commission.
