About the Artwork
Folds VII is part of artist Dionne Haroutunian's 'Rocks' series of linoleum block prints. This piece is inspired by the rock formations the artist encountered while hiking near Butte, Montana.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State Arts Commission.
About the Artist
Dionne Haroutunian was born in Switzerland and moved to Seattle in 1985. In 1989, she took a class at the Pratt Fine Art Center in Seattle and discovered printmaking. She founded Sev Shoon Art Center (1991-2012), a printmaking studio, gallery, and artist residency program located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle.
