About the Artwork

Artist Morgan Brig created the copper and glass-enamel figure I Know What I Know to celebrate self-knowledge. The small flying figure represents one's inner voice, while the leaf and bird imagery represent the connection we share with living things.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Mount Baker School District.

About the Artist

Northwest artist Morgan Brig creates sculptures using glass, metal, ceramics, found objects and other materials. Interested in capturing the complexity of emotion, her works investigate form and symbol. She lives and works on Vashon Island in South Puget Sound, Western Washington.
