About the Artwork
Artist J. Elizabeth Santone created the figurative watercolor Foodcourt after spending two weeks on jury duty. The composition is filled with many figures and hidden details. She notes, “After hours of sitting around listening to lawyers, I found myself in a shopping mall basement food court seeing court related images everywhere I looked.”
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Columbia Basin College.
About the Artist
Portland, Oregon-based artist J. Elizabeth Santone creates figurative paintings and drawings. She studied at the University of Oregon in Eugene, The Oregon Art Institute and the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts in Portland.
