About the Artwork

Breath of Dawn is part of a body of paintings by artist Kathleen Caprario featuring landscape images bordered by gold-leafed frames. The decorative frame provides a “separation between the interior image and the outside world.” The artist’s sketches of the American Southwest and Eastern Oregon inspired the imagery.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Richland School District.
