About the Artwork
Medical Philately by Judith Caldwell consists of twelve cast bronze relief panels that are based on medical postage stamps from eight different countries. The stamps were selected by the artist and the Health Science staff and faculty at Spokane Community College. They were chosen to reflect the subjects of the twelve Health Science Division course offerings at the college.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Community Colleges of Spokane.
About the Artist
Judith Caldwell is a sculptor and public artist living and working in Seattle, Washington. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and is university-trained in foundry metal casting.
