About the Artwork
Moon/Void is a drawing by artist Nancy Halbrooks. It is part of her ‘Desire’ series of abstract pastel and charcoal drawings. She used a process of layering and wiping away areas of color and shadow to create the images in this series. She notes, “These drawings are not about anything specific, but are half thoughts, floating dreams, fleeting images, perhaps flashing ideas.”
