About the Artwork
Artist Howard Meehan created Spokane Montage for the NEWTECH Skill Center. Spokane's unique landscape inspired this sandblasted glass relief. The composition features wheat fields, basalt columns, Spokane Falls, and the rolling hills of the Palouse. He gathered birds-eye-view images while flying over Spokane. He notes, "There are numerous little bits and pieces that are pictured, some figuratively, others abstractly, that illustrate a mood and image of Spokane."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Spokane Public Schools.
