About the Artwork
Banners is a textile installation by artist Joellen Benjamin-Fay. It is comprised of three graphic banners. The colorful layered constructions feature abstracted imagery of dragons and mountains.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State Arts Commission.
About the Artist
Seattle-based artist Joellen Benjamin-Fay creates textile wall hangings and banners using a variety of fabrics and fibers. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University in Bellingham in 1963.
