About the Artwork

Charmed Medallion by Pam Beyette is created from recycled materials and found objects that the artist collected from dismantling yards such as the Seattle Iron and Metals Corporation. It is part of the artist's "Industrial Amulets" series of large, mixed-media sculptures. This piece is the study for a large-scale installation commissioned by the Microsoft Corporation. Beyette notes, "Sifting through rural, suburban, and urban communities' rejects and transforming them into treasures continues to be my passion, and it's my intention that we transform all our "junk" into gems."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bethel School District.
