About the Artwork
Palouse is a multi-element installation by artist Susan Zoccola, comprised of suspended metal sculptures. She notes, "I was inspired by the surrounding hills of the Palouse, and the dry land wheat farming of the area...the walls behind the sculptures have been painted a green, gold, and russet, reflecting the color changes of wheat throughout it's growing season."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Cheney School District.
About the Artist
Seattle-based artist Susan Zoccola creates sculptural and architecturally integrated installations for public spaces. She studied at the San Francisco Institute of Art in California and the University of Washington in Seattle.
