Free Webinar on Sep 23: Navigating SB 5814

Join ArtsWA (Washington State Arts Commission), Inspire WA, Washington Festivals and Events, and the Washington State Department of Revenue for a critical webinar on Senate Bill 5814. This bill expands the retail sales tax to include services like live presentations, advertising, and custom software. If your organization sells any of these newly taxable services, you will be responsible for collecting and remitting the retail sales tax on those transactions beginning October 1, 2025. Additionally, you may see increased costs on services you purchase from vendors in these categories.

This session is designed to help you understand how this new legislation affects your arts organization, festival, event or business, who qualifies as a “seller” or “purchaser” under the new law, and what steps you need to take to prepare.
