About the Awards

On February 4, 2026, ArtsWA proudly celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the Governor’s Arts & Heritage Awards.

The Governor’s Arts & Heritage Awards recognize Washington’s outstanding arts and cultural leaders, artists, culture bearers, and organizations. ArtsWA administers the awards on behalf of the Governor.

About the Event

This special event honors Washington’s most outstanding artists, cultural leaders, and organizations who have shaped our vibrant cultural landscape for decades. Join us at the Minnaert Center for the Performing Arts for inspiring performances and a tribute to the remarkable legacy of creativity and cultural preservation.

Tickets are $30 per person.

Wednesday, February 4, 2026
Event 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Doors 6:00 p.m.

In person at Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts:

Hors d’oeuvres served from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. during the event will include a variety of options: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.

Masks are not required. If you are showing signs of sickness, please do not attend.

Dress is business formal or business casual. A self-service coat check is located to the left of the staircase.

Parking is free on the Olympia Campus of South Puget Sound Community College. The parking lots closest to the Minnaert Center are A, B, and C. For a map of SPSCC’s Olympia Campus, visit the college’s Maps & Locations page. The Minnaert Center is Building 21.

About the Awards

The Governor’s Arts Awards, established in 1966, recognize outstanding individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to the arts and cultural development of Washington State.

The Governor’s Heritage Awards, established in 1989, honor outstanding individuals and organizations whose dedication to preserving and promoting traditions and cultural heritage are worthy of state recognition.
