Creative Start Site Grants

*APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED to 5pm, Friday, April 3, 2020

Grant awards are $8,000 each.

The Creative Start Site Grant program launches in Spring of 2020. The program supports early learning (preschool through 3rd grade) schools and communities prepared to adopt a comprehensive early learning arts integration plan.

Creative Start sites will be selected from across the state with the goal of supporting at least one site in all four ArtsWA defined regions by FY22. These sites will receive support toward becoming regional leaders in culturally responsive arts integration.

Creative Start Site teams will receive:

  • FY20: Capacity Building: 8-10 hours of remote professional learning sessions and support for developing a site-based professional learning plan (May-June 2020).
  • FY21: Implementation Support: $8,000 in grant funding to implement your Creative Start professional learning plan (August 2020-June 2021).
